Carpet is the choice

If you have chosen to go with a lighter color, you may want to carefully consider which rooms it gets placed in. For instance, if the room normally gets a lot of traffic, or if children will be playing on it often, you might want to consider something a little darker. By placing it where it will be frequently used, you are creating the necessity for extra maintenance if you want to keep the color clear and clean.On the other hand, light colors are a great option for making a room appear larger. In rooms where there isn’t a lot of natural light, they can also keep the room from feeling darker than it actually is.It’s a good idea, as well, to take bits of fabric with you from drapes, furniture, or anything else from your décor at home, when you go to shop for carpet. However, keep in mind that the lighting in the store isn’t the same as your lighting at home. If possible, ask about a lighting box that you can see the carpet in, or better still, take a sample home with you. That’s the truest way to know exactly what a color will look like in your home, and in the room in which it is going to be placed.Finally, make sure you have fairly specific size estimates for each room to be carpeted. This is the best way to get a good estimate, including possible seam work.
